Further Improve Your Stock Airbox Intake System In
Three Easy Separate Levels

Level 1:  Add a flat panel dry or wet filter and remove snow guard from OEM Stock Airbox Intake System
Cost around $60.00  -  Shown in above chart  -  Very Good Performance

Level 2:  Same as Level 1, but adding a Remote Systems Air Blade  -  Great  alternative for those that want the extra performance, but do not want to open the Factory Blocked Driver's Side Air Intake Vents
  -  Even Better Performance
Cost less than $50.00

Level 3:  Same as Level 1 and Level 2, but also opening up the factory blocked drivers side intake air vents
Simple and Easy To Do if you are familiar using a Hand Drill and Dremel  -  The Very Best Performance

Doing all three levels and tested in my personal 2016 Audi S3, my oil temps dropped anywhere from 20 to 25 degrees
depending how it is driven: sporty driving, normal city driving, stop and go traffic.

This can give you between 10 to 15hp and possibly more depending on supporting add-ons, i.e. Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose, Turbo Inlet Elbow Pipe, Turbo Muffler Delete.

Alternative to buying an expensive Carbon Fiber Aftermarket Performance Cold Air Intake System or Cold Air Intake Duct to gain better airflow velocity, get better throttle response, decreased air intake temperature, more performance and sound - simply modify your existing OEM Stock Cold Air Intake System by installing a Wet or Dry Performance Flat Panel Air filter, removing the Factory Snow Guard, install an Air Blade by Remote Systems, and open up the "Factory Blocked Driver's Side Air Intake Vents" of the OEM Stock Cold Air Intake Duct.

By modifying your OEM Stock Cold Air Intake System you keep the factory designed airflow going into the engine bay minimizing excessive engine bay heat buildup and heat soak unlike some Aftermarket Variants that do not allow airflow into the engine bay.  Above 35mph, the installed Air Blade will continue to allow cooler ambient airflow into the engine bay while still creating additional cold ram airflow into the Airbox maximizing performance that can give you between 10 to 15hp and possibly more depending on supporting add-ons, i.e. Silicone Turbo Inlet Hose, Turbo Inlet Elbow Pipe, Turbo Muffler Delete, Performance Free flow Air Filter.

Note: living in Minnesota Winters, I have found that removing the "Factory Snow Guard" and opening of the driver's side "
Factory Blocked Driver's Side Air Intake Vents" has caused no detrimental effect and I have not seen any snow or debris out of the normal entering into the OEM Stock Airbox Intake System.

Compatible for Audi A3/S3 series, VW Golf R and possibly other MQB platforms.  I have only tested this modification on the Audi platform.  I cannot verify that by removing the "Snow Guard" or opening of the "
Factory Blocked Driver's Side Air Intake Vents" will allow snow or rain to be a problem in other MQB platforms.  If unsure, simply leaving the "Snow Guard" in place will prevent snow, rain, or debris becoming a problem even if the "Factory Blocked Driver's Side Air Intake Vents" are opened up.
